Food & Drink Last Minute Basket Buyers

Looking at food & drink gift purchases of wine, tea, candy and gourmet food, we see a 1.5X surge from Dec 3-17. This falls later in the calendar than other retail purchases, showing that this category is part of the last minute shopper mindset.

Connecting with last minute shoppers: These gifters are not only looking for something thoughtful, but also something that arrives within the holiday window. Pair product benefits messaging with information on shipping times to capture customers worried about their gifts arriving on time.
